Job Description for Rabbi and Rebbetzin

 

The Rabbi and Rebbetzin of PATH strengthen the community with Torah knowledge, exposure to Torah philosophy and way of life, and love of all Jews and of Judaism, each according to their level.

The Rabbi and Rebbetzin are more than teachers.  Each is an example of Torah living and wisdom, opening more than just books by regularly opening their home to community members and guests for dynamic Shabbos and Yom Tov experiences.

Reaching out to unaffiliated Jews is an important part of their duties, as well as helping those with a strong Torah background to reach higher.

Rabbi’s Responsibilities include:

Teach Daf Yomi at 5:30 am

Teach Classes on Shabbos at Young Israel

Teach classes geared to women

Teach outreach classes on halacha, hashkafa and Chumash

Learn one-on-one

Teach classes at other Hollywood Synagogues and outreach locations

Invite guests for Shabbos and Yom Tov meals on a weekly basis

Contribute to the ruach and simcha of the Community through Programming

Rabbi’s Qualifications include:

Torah Scholar

Outreach and teaching experience

Nonjudgmental personality

Capacity to relate to professionals and business people

 Rebbetzin’s Responsibilities include:

Teach occasional women’s classes

Host guests for Shabbos on a weekly basis

Assist in the administration and promotion of PATH and its programming

Contribute to the ruach and simcha of the Community through Programming
